A variation on sovereignty

Partager sur :

The concept of sovereignty lies at the core of the international system ; yet it is far from having retained the same meaning during the last two centuries. It has long been considered as a reality when it really was an abstraction, then criticised for its very principle, and has finally been rehabilitated – before appearing today, in many aspects, as a destruction tool to be deconsecrated at all costs.
